Stocks rise with Fed hopes still in play

Stocks rose on Monday after logging their best week this year, as hopes continued to prevail that the Federal Reserve is ready to call an end to tightening.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC), benchmark S&P 500 (^GSPC), and Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) each climbed about 0.3% shortly after the opening bell.
